During this time of the year news from PMA 09 show are very much becoming my first read news everyday. I like to know, what’s happening in the camera industry. What’s new, what’s hot.
Very often it seems, that manufacturers are slowly running out of ideas, and than something new comes out and surprises everyone!
It’s exciting to learn about all these new technologies.
To be up to date with all new announcements I follow updated on DP Review (one of my favorite website for hardware reviews).
Today’s update already announced few new camera’s from Sony and Fuji. Olympus announced theirs couple of weeks ago. To see full list of cameras already announced you can just follow this LINK.
Epson and Canon just released some new wide format printers.
Epson: 24-inch Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and the 44-inch Stylus Pro 9900. Both have upgraded print head, speed but most of all they print using Epson UltraChrome HDR Ink technology. These inks include orange and green inks, which are said to offer enhanced color reproduction, smoother blends and transition and more accurate highlight to shadow detail.
Canon introduced 24-inch iPF6200 printer. Printer is using 12 colors of LUCIA pigment inks. Has build in 80GB hard drive this way the printing time can be reduced: less time spend on sending file from a workstation to the printer. Comes with professional grade RIP software, that helps getting the highest color gamut out of the printer.
