I have been surprised once again.

I am really honored to be part of this nice display, among really amazingly beautiful pieces.

Almost the end of the year.

Happy New Year

There is only few days left of 2008.
Have this year been good for you?

Looking back I have to say, that it wasn’t too bad for me. Lots of things happened.  I think the biggest and most important was getting involved with Etsy, setting up my store and coming out with my photography. I set up my store in March and within next few weeks started posting different prints.

At first I was planning to have half of the inventory in photo greeting cards and photo note cards. Looking now I don’t regret having the shop set up for 99% prints- I still have one of cards in stock. And- what was very surprising for me- I had sold two copies of that card just before holidays. Even though- earlier this year it didn’t seem as very popular item in my store.

After setting up my store on Etsy few other opportunities opened and now you can see my photography on few websites. As well- as purchase it through them:

• ArtFire

This year I also for the first time started to submit my photography in more serious photo contests. I have had some success with that. One of the events organized by main local gallery accepted my print for holiday shopping spree event, where my print got sold. I hope the buyer enjoys it!
There is also one great arts and crafts store, who accepted my photography to become part of their inventory- Finishing Touches in Hillsborough, NC.

Most of all this was year of meeting great people. In real and virtual world.  And I think- that’s what I am most thankful for. I don’t think I would be where I am right now without all of those great friends who supported me, advised me, who I could go to with any question.

It was good year for me. I hope 2009 will be at least as good. Of course- I hope for better!
